Geocaching 101
If you are in Calgary and want to learn more about geocaching, there is a group gathering next weekend to teach the basics. It will be family-friendly, done in teams and you will get your first smiley for sure just for attending. See the geocaching website or click here and join the fun! Be sure to dress for the weather!

When & where is the next Geocaching 101?
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure when the next one will be planned but there are two events coming up that you may want to take part in. On April 21st there will be a seminar on how to hide a non-traditional cache. This is in Calgary at the CNIB building from 2 to 4pm. Check out http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=GC3AVC3 for the details.
DeleteThen the spring Calgary Cache and Release event will be on the May 26th weekend. This is two days of finding caches hidden just for the event and there will be a kick-off park clean-up at Carburn park in Calgary. Check out http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=0ee97f2e-21d1-40ec-9004-35c969857ee8 for more details. There will be lots of cachers involved in the CCAR event and you could get advice or tag along with another group that day.
